Symptoms vary but can include pain, swelling, or lumps, with malignant tumors potentially spreading (metastasizing) to other parts of the body, while benign ones usually don't. Diagnosis involves imaging (like X-rays) and physical exams, and treatment ranges from watchful waiting for benign growths to surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy for cancerous ones.
